HOW WE GOT STARTED

(Click on the picture above to hear an audio message from the soap-maker)

In January of 1999, we offered our homemade lye soap for sale over the internet for the first time.  We had no idea if anyone would be interested in it!  And we found that there are many folks who are interested in a simpler lifestyle, with simpler products.

Our desire is to provide a simple, pure homemade bar of soap at a reasonable price.  At this time, we do not intend to provide fragranced or perfumed toiletry soap or lotions.

Our soap is made from a family recipe similar to ones used by many soap-makers, past and present.  Our Cousin, Miss Mary, introduced us to soap-making over an iron washpot under the pine trees in Georgia.

After research through several soap-craft books and websites, observing experienced soap-makers, and alot of trial and error, we have refined our recipe and offer our soap for your use today.

We have been pleased to ship our soap to Customers from Alaska to Maine, from Los Angeles to Miami.  We've shipped to 46 of our 50 states since 1999.

Your satisfaction with our soap is guaranteed or your money will be refunded to you.  Just let us know.
