Homemade Lye Soap

Dear Linda,

I just received my order for your soap and washing powder.  Having used both products, I must say I feel cheated — by the soap, shampoo, and detergent industries.  It’s clear that the newer cleaning products were developed and marketed to fill needs already met very well by traditional lye soap.

I first tried laundering some whites using your powder and some plain old borax.  When I saw the results, I decided to get rid of my detergent, bleach, and softener — the clothes came out brighter and softer than I’d ever seen them . . .

Thank you for helping me simplify my life.  You can expect another order from me soon.  I also intend to tell my friends and family about your product.  It’s too good to keep secret.

Dear Stewarts Crafts,

After getting Black Grease on the bottom of my pants, I put Spray & Wash on the stain and washed them.  The stain was still there just as dark.

I used Lye Soap on the stain and your soap got the spot out as I rinsed it.

Love this soap and made many gifts to friends with it!

I love the soap so much!  I shower with it, rub it on stains on my clothes (spilt some balsamic vinegar on a shirt, and it came out).

Hope all is well with you and your family.  Really do enjoy your soap so much.  I don’t feel clean without it . . .

My husband and I do a lot of painting (houses, not art).  We find there is nothing better than your soap for moving paint and washing our paintbrushes.

So thanks for that too.  Your soap is so much better than paint thinner for us and the environment.
