Homemade Lye Soap

Dear Mrs. Stewart,

Thank God I’ve found your internet site!  I used lye soap from a major vitamin company once and was extremely happy with the results, I have a lot of skin problems it cleared up.

Then they quit selling it to my disappointment.  I believe many people will benefit from your soap as I have.  It is very hard to find a non-additive plain old bar of lye soap.  Thank you for the work you are doing.

I would like for you to know that I started using the soap we purchased from you that day as soon as I got home and the real bad place on my arm started feeling better the next day and I kept using it (twice a day) and within a week it was 80% cleared up.

Today is the 21st of Jan. and I want you to know the place is gone and it sure is a good feeling to go all day and not itch like I did.  I use the lye soap for shampoo and bath every day.

Dear Stewarts,

I bought a bar of your soap at the Sourwood festival in Black Mountain, NC this year and began using it right away.

I had severe itching going on that I had for several months.  Lots of doctor visits, a variety of topical and oral medications, even a biopsy.  The rash didn’t go away.  Just kept scratching.

I enjoyed using the soap, the soft feel was wonderful.  I certainly didn’t expect the itching to be helped.

Guess what?  It is gone!

My daughter is a pharmacist and is skeptical, but she said, “Get me a bar too.”

We’re doing o.k.  We’ve had a lot going on since I last talked to you about the lye soap.  Hope you are doing well.  We love your soap.  My brother (Bob) has been on me forever to order more because it healed his skin completely from the rash he has had for a long time.
